A homeowner from Milltown, WI, was dealing with an outdated sump pump. The sump would continually cycle, even when there was no rain. The homeowner grew tired of repeatedly hearing the pump cycle, so he decided to look into other waterproofing solutions for his basement. After perusing the internet, he found our website. Impressed by our basement waterproofing before and after pictures, he signed up for his FREE estimate. Several weeks later, Daniel R, one of our Design Specialists in the homeowner's area, stopped at the house to evaluate the issue. 

Daniel took his time with his inspection. When he was done, he met with the homeowner to inform him that he believed that there were three products in our inventory that he believed would fix the problem. First, Daniel recommended the installation of our WaterGuard. This unique french drain system gets installed below the slab of the basement floor and atop the footing of the foundation, keeping it out of the 'mud zone' where similar drains tend to clog. This drain works to collect water entering from holes and cracks in the floor, giving it a channel to flow to the sump pump. Because of the severe deterioration of the old sump pump, Daniel recommended the use of our TripleSafe sump pump. Our TripleSafe sump pump is our most reliable sump on the market, providing three levels of protection for your basement and your peace of mind. For normal functioning, the TripleSafe has a powerful, cast-iron Zoeller 1/3 horsepower sump pump set at the lowest level. For heavy volumes of water, or in case of primary pump failure, the TripleSafe boasts a second, more powerful Zoeller 1/2 horsepower pump set a bit higher in the liner. Finally, Daniel informed the homeowner that even homes with comprehensive waterproofing systems can still develop moisture and mold problems and could even feel damp. Concrete walls and floors continually absorb moisture from the soil and release it into the air in your basement, and store-bought dehumidifiers simply aren't strong enough to solve the problem. For this reason, Daniel recommended our AprilAire dehumidifier. Adding an Aprilaire dehumidifier creates healthy air and can reduce the number of viable viruses in the air to less than 1% in two days when set to 50% RH. The homeowner agreed with Daniel's recommendations and scheduled the job for several weeks later. 

On the day of the project, our Foreman, Jeremiah F, led his team through the successful installation of 132ft of WaterGuard, 1 TripleSafe pump, and 1 AprilAire dehumidifier. Now, our customer can rest easy knowing his waterproofing issue is solved! 

Mr. Nelson was experiencing water seeping up through the crack of his basement floor in Eau Galle, WI. American Waterworks recommended a full perimeter waterproofing solution including our SuperSump sump pump system which includes a water watch alarm to prevent further water damage and gives peace of mind to Mr. Nelson.

A homeowner in Knapp, WI, saw the cracks throughout their driveway were beginning to split their concrete. Worried about the long-term damages, the homeowner knew they needed professional assistance. The homeowner looked at several concrete repair companies, but only one stuck out, American Waterworks. Although we are known for our basement waterproofing and foundation repair, we also offer lifting and leveling services. The homeowner called our Appointment Center and signed up for their FREE estimate. After the estimate was set, the homeowner awaited the arrival of our Design Specialist, Canon. Canon traveled to the home and began his detailed inspection of the concrete. During his inspection, Canon found that the driveway was sinking due to soil settlement. To stop the settlement from continuing, Canon recommended lifting the driveway with our PolyLevel solution. The homeowner wanted a long-term solution, so they agreed with Canon's recommendations. Once they were approved by the homeowner, the plans were passed along to our Foreman, Troy, and his crew. Troy and his crew traveled to the home to begin the project. After they arrived, Troy and his crew began by lifting the driveway with PolyLevel, a polyurethane foam solution. The crew successfully lifted the driveway, so they shifted their focus to filling several cracks throughout the driveway. To fill these cracks, the crew utilized NexusPro Crack Repair, a silicone-based solution. After the cracks were repaired, the crew cleaned up their materials and left the home. The homeowner was in awe of the fantastic work completed by the crew. American Waterworks is happy to resolve their customer's concrete concerns. 

Tammy E. in Houston, MN had water seeping into her basement through cracks in the floor. She also noticed a foul smell and some rust-colored stains. She contacted American Waterworks, and we sent our Design Specialist, Mike Radosevich, to her home to evaluate her situation. He discovered that Tammy had a buildup of iron ochre in her old sump pump. He explained that it is not a known health hazard but can quickly clog a French drain system. He presented her with our WaterGuard IOS Perimeter Drain Channel, which is ideal for managing this problem. Tammy was impressed with Mike’s presentation and our products and moved forward with an installation date. 

Our Foreman, Austin Lucas, and his production crew were able to permanently waterproof Tammy’s basement by installing 209 feet of our WaterGuard IOS System. The wide-open design of the drain helps it resist clogs, while a removable lid allows for easy access and maintenance. Then, the crew installed our recommended TripleSafe sump pump. The WaterGuard properly drains water to the sump pump and from there, the water is pumped through the discharge line and expelled from the home. Tammy was impressed with the installation, and is happy knowing that her problem is solved and her basement is dry! 

Heather C. Of Durand, WI had water leaking from the walls of her basement, causing her to worry about water moisture and mold build-up. She called our office line and scheduled a FREE estimate with our Design Specialist, Dustin. Dustin went to her home, carefully inspected her problems, and drew up a solution that worked for her needs and budget. Heather got all of her questions answered and was confident in Dustin's proposal, so he went ahead with the project and scheduled a date for the installation. 

Our Foreman, Raul, and his production team began the project by breaking out the concrete floor perimeter with a jackhammer, forming a trench. In the trench, our team installed our WaterGuard Drainage System, which is made to prevent water and mud clogs, collect all water seepage from basement walls, and serve as an underground drain in coordination with the sump pump. Next, Raul and his team installed our CleanSpace Wall System Vapor Barrier around the basement wall perimeter, which is made to prevent mold and mildew and gives the basement a clean and neat appearance. To complete the project, our team covered the open floor gaps with pea gravel and applied new gravel over them. Heather was happy with the work that was completed and had a great experience!
