David K. in Tracy, MN had some cracking and severely bowing basement walls. He was concerned about the stability of his home and knew he needed to have a professional take a look before it was too late. He contacted American Waterworks after he saw our sign in his neighbor’s yard. He met with one of our Design Specialists who determined that the foundation walls had moved inward due to the expansive soils and hydrostatic pressure put on the walls from outside. 

Our production crew was successfully able to stabilize David’s foundation by installing 11 PowerBraces around the foundation of the home. They started the installation by securing brackets into the floor as well as the rim joists. Then, they installed the PowerBraces into the brackets and tightened them as far as they could go. PowerBraces do not require outside excavation so it is less invasive than other foundation repair options. The PowerBraces not only permanently stabilized David’s foundation, but they also provide the potential for his walls to straighten back to their original position.

A homeowner in Cooperstown, ND had a settling foundation, causing them to worry about the stability and structure of their home. Then, our team mechanically screwed the helical pier sections into the soil. Once the piers met their proper depths, our team positioned the brackets below and against the foundation footing. A male homeowner in Cooperstown, ND had cracked foundation walls in his basement, and he wanted to get them fixed before they cracked any further. He knew of our Design Specialist, Richie, so they discussed some possible solutions with each other, and Richie proposed our Foundation Repair Wall Anchor System. The homeowner got all of his questions answered about the product, its functions, etc., so he signed Richie's proposal and got a date on his schedule for the installation. 

Our Foreman, Ryan, and his crew began the anchor installation by digging holes outside of the home beyond the foundation. From the interior foundation, our crew inserted a long, metal rod to each hole beyond the foundation. Once each anchor is connected to the metal rod, the pressure is clamped, which straightens the wall back into its original position. Our wall anchors can be installed year-round, they have a 25-year warranty, it provides very little damage to the home, and does not damage interior floors. To complete the installation, our team backfilled each hole, compacted the soil, and ensured the yard space was neater than when they found it. The homeowner was happy with the work that was completed and had a great experience!
