A homeowner from Kilkenny, MN, was down in her basement one day when she noticed a crack she hadn't seen before. The crack resembled a staircase and ran up the length of the wall. Upon further investigation, the homeowner was alarmed to find several of the same cracks on that wall. Fearing what a cracking foundation could mean for her home, she decided to find a company that could shed some light on the issue. One night, she saw our TV ad and decided to get in touch. She scheduled her FREE estimate, and several weeks later, our Design Specialist, Eric H, headed out to the home. 

Eric got right to work conducting his inspection. When he finished, he met with the homeowner to deliver his recommendations. Eric explained that foundation walls are designed to support loads from above, not from the side. When side pressure on your walls exceeds their ability to withstand the force, they begin to crack, bow, slide in at the bottom, and/or tilt inward at the top. Eric's recommendation, our GeoLock wall anchors, can counteract soil pressure by anchoring walls to stable, undisturbed soil outside the home. Thanks to threaded rods that extend through the wall, wall anchors can even be used to straighten walls in many cases. The homeowner liked the sound of Eric's plan and scheduled the installation for some time later. 

On the day of the installation, our production team, led by their Foreman, Juan P, ended up installing 5 of our GeoLock anchors along the problem wall. Now, our customer can enjoy her basement knowing she conquered her foundation cracks!

Danielle B. in Geneva, MN contacted American Waterworks as a returning customer after being satisfied with some of her previous projects with us. She was interested in our SentrySeal and SilverGlo products to help with some of the insulation and moisture issues around her foundation. 

Our Foreman, Hugo Sanchez, and his production crew started the installation by digging out the soil surrounding the home. Then, they were able to install our SentrySeal Waterproofing Membrane to the exterior foundation and our SilverGlo Insulation System to hold back moisture and ensure energy-efficient insulation. SilverGlo combines highly effective graphite-impregnated insulation with a built-in radiant heat barrier surface. This gives the foundation walls an unbroken plane of R-11 insulation. Danielle was impressed with the quick installation, and his happy she chose American Waterworks for her foundation wall repair needs! 

Brian from Staples, MN got in contact with us when he began to notice that his basement ceiling was beginning to sag. He was afraid that if he left the issue unresolved, he would run the risk of doing serious damage to the structure of his home, so he decided to call our office. We set him up with our FREE estimate, entitling him to a thorough inspection by one of our Design Specialists. Shortly after, our Design Specialists, Kole, headed out to the property to see what could be done. Once he completed his walkthrough, he could make recommendations as to how we could help. Kole wanted to use our SmartJacks to correct the sloping. He explained to Brian that the SmartJacks can be adjusted over time to provide additional straightening and leveling action if necessary. Brian agreed with Kole's recommendation and work began shortly after. 

Our Foreman, Zach, and his crew finished the job swiftly. They ended up placing 13 SmartJacks around the basement of the home. Now Brian no longer needs to worry about sloping floors! 

A homeowner in Montgomery, MN had basement walls that were cracked and caving in. She called American Waterworks for a free inspection and we were able to design a plan to fit her specific needs. Our production crew installed wall anchors to straighten and provide support to her basement walls. They were very happy with the outcome of their project! 

Merle M. in Watertown, MN had multiple cracked foundation walls in his basement. The walls were starting to bow inward, and he had noticed the walls gradually deteriorating over the years. He decided it was time to look into repairing his foundation, so he contacted American Waterworks for a FREE estimate. One of our Design Specialists, Jeremy Radtke, went to his home to inspect the situation and develop a solution. Jeremy assured Merle that we could permanently restore his foundation by installing wall anchors. Merle was pleased to hear this!

Our team installed 8 wall anchors by drilling small holes through the damaged foundation walls, inserting long metal rods and securing each end of the rods with wall anchors. The process took about two days, but now Merle's foundation is permanently repaired, and his peace of mind has been restored.
