Once the estimate was set, we sent one of our Design Specialists, Chuck, to the home to take a closer look. Chuck arrived at the home to begin the estimate. During his inspection, Chuck found several cracks growing throughout the south foundation wall. To prevent these cracks from growing, Chuck recommended installing CarbonArmor strips along the struggling wall. The homeowner agreed with Chuck's recommendations, so they passed the proposal along to our Logistics team to build and approve the plans. Once the plans were approved, they were passed along to our Logsitics team. Our Logistics team built the project, and then it was scheduled for the following months. A few weeks later, our Foreman, Diego and his crew traveled to the home to begin the installation. After they arrived, Diego and his crew made sure the walls were ready for the CarbonArmor. Next, Diego and his crew installed seven CarbonArmor strips on the south walls. Once all the products were secured, the crew cleaned up their materials and left the home. Following his detailed inspection, Eric determined that the southwest wall required permanent stabilization. Eric recommended that PowerBraces be installed in the home to provide further support. The homeowner knew that this would provide a long-term fix, so they went along with Eric's plan. Once they got the stamp of approval, the plans were sent to our Foreman, Chris, and his crew. They arrived and began by making sure the space was ready for production. The crew installed four PowerBraces along the southwest basement wall. After the PowerBraces were properly secured, the crew cleaned up their materials and left the home. The homeowner was impressed by the work completed by the crew and left a glowing review. A customer from Rushmore, MN, contacted us when they suspected they might have a Radon gas present in their home. Our crew went out to the property and the Design Specialist, Kevin, recommended that the customer invests in a Radon mitigation system because of the high levels of Radon he found to be prevalent in the home. Our Foreman, Dakota, worked to install the system and will follow up with the customer if further issues present themselves. Our Radon mitigation systems work to suck the Radon out of the area, pipe it upwards, and expel the gas out and away from the home. 

Dan R. in Ivanhoe, MN had learned about the dangers of radon gas and decided that he needed to get his home tested. The test results showed a high level of radon. Our Design Specialist walked him through the radon mitigation installation process and answered his questions. Dan wanted to act quickly and moved forward with an installation date.

During the installation process, our Foreman, Dakota Merchlewitz, drilled a hole through the floor in the basement to insert a PVC pipe and create a suction point for the radon gas. Then the gas is vented through the pipe and out of the home. Dan is relieved that he took the necessary steps to make sure his family's health is no longer compromised.

A couple from Valley City, ND got in contact with us when they decided they wanted to get their house tested for Radon gas. Radon is a naturally occurring radioactive gas that has become the second leading cause of lung cancer, second only to cigarette smoke. The couple knew that testing for the dangerous gas was incredibly important. When they called in, we set them up with our FREE estimate, entitling them to a thorough inspection of the issue by one of our Design Specialists. Once the appointment had been set, our Design Specialist from our Fargo branch, Kole, headed out to the property. When he arrived, he informed the homeowners that he would be leaving a charcoal test behind for 48 hours. He went on to say that the test would sit in the home and at the end of the 48 hours, would be able to tell the levels of Radon in the home. Once the 48 hours was up, the couple sent their test out, and it came back measuring 7.9 pCi/L. Kole informed the couple that the World Health Organization recommends taking action to fight Radon at a 2.7 as 1pCi/L of Radon is equal to 2.5 cigarettes smoked a day. Kole recommended that the couple looks into installing a Radon Mitigation System in the home. He explained that this system works to pull Radon from the home and then pipe it up and outwards from the home. The couple quickly agreed and work began shortly after. 

Our Fargo-based Foreman, CJ, and his crew worked quickly and efficiently to install the new system in the home. Once work was complete, the couple was relieved to know that their Radon issue had been addressed and dealt with.
