A homeowner in North Mankato, MN, noticed their basement walls were leaking water. Worried about the long-term damage this could cause, the homeowner began looking into a "leaking wall basement repair". While looking through all the options, the homeowner came across us, American Waterworks. Impressed with our stellar ratings and reviews, the homeowner knew we were the perfect company for their project. Since they were already on our website, the homeonwer decided to sign up for their FREE estimate. We sent one of our Design Specialists, Lance, to the home to take a closer look. During the estimate, Lance found several areas suffering from water intrusion. Lance recommended installing an interior French drain system, WaterGuard, along the basement floor. Knowing this was their best option, the homeowner decided to go ahead with his proposal. The project was scheduled, then our Foreman, Luis, and his crew traveled to the home to begin. Luis and his crew installed the WaterGuard system along the southwest corner of the basement. Once the WaterGuard was secured, the crew installed a feedline from the sump pump to the northwest corner of the room. After all the products were secured, the crew cleaned up their materials and left the home. American Waterworks is happy to assist its homeowners in repairing their damaged basements. 

 Mr. Conner's foundation walls are cracking and pushing inward due to the expansive soils and hydrostatic pressure on the walls from outside his home. We recommended installing eleven Geo-Lock Wall Anchors along the bowing wall to stabilize and restore the wall back to its original position.  The soil anchors were placed in the ground outside his home. Steel rods attached to soil anchors extend through the foundation wall and wall plates. Wall plates distribute clamping pressure. Tightening nuts on the threaded ends of the rods stabilize the wall for a permanent solution.

Gordon G. in Mankato, MN had a bowing foundation wall in his basement. He saw an ad for American Waterworks in the phone book and called us to see if we could help him. We were happy to send our Design Specialist, Eric Hazelton, to his home to do a free onsite estimate. Eric developed a plan to have our team install anchors along the bowing wall to secure and stabilize it. 

The installation process took two days, and Gordon was pleased that he could see immediate results. Our crew left him with a tightening kit so that he could continue tightening the anchors over time until the wall is completely straightened.

Homeowners James and Rachel D. of Mankato, MN had water leaking through the cracks of their foundation walls, causing them to worry about water damage and the stability of their home. They got in contact with our office staff and scheduled a FREE estimate with our Design Specialist, Jared. Jared went to James and Rachel's house, inspected their problems, and designed a solution that worked for them and their budget. They were confident in Jared's proposal and were comfortable with our products and their warranties, so he went ahead with the project. 

Our Foreman, Juan, and his production team started the installation by breaking out the concrete floor perimeter, forming a waterway trench. In the trench, our team installed our WaterGuard Drainage System, which serves as an underground drain and collects water seepage from basement walls. Next, Juan and his crew installed our CleanSpace Wall System Vapor Barrier around the entire wall perimeter. Our CleanSpace is made to prevent mold and humidity and serves as an extra wall protectant while saving money on energy bills. Lastly, our team dug holes outside of the home beyond the foundation and inserted a long, metal rod from the inside foundation to each hole outside of the home. On the ends of the rod in the soil, our team installed an anchor plate, which holds the rod in place in the soil. Inside the basement, our team installed a GeoLock Channel Anchor on each rod to stabilize the wall. The combination of our production crew, the anchor plates, rods, and wall anchors work together to straighten the wall back into its original position. To complete the installation, our crew filled the open floor gaps with pea gravel and river rock and applied new concrete over them.
