This home in Poplarville, MS was set on part slab and part conventional foundation. The middle of the home was on top of a crawlspace that was having significant moisture issues. It was apparent in the wooden subfloor that the moisture was causing mold to grow.

Thankfully, our team was able to treat the mold and install our waterproofing system under the home. This will help keep the wood safe and strong, and dry out the crawlspace.

In these two photos, you will find two different vapor barriers underneath the same home. The first, is a standard, flimsy barrier that obviously did not hold up very well. You'll find barriers like these under many homes, and they are unfortunately not really doing much to prevent moisture or humidity. Even with the barrier, this home was still dealing with a damp crawlspace and buckling floors. The second, is our heavy-duty 20-mil CleanSpace Liner that we installed under the home. This durable barrier lines the ground, walls, and supports and permanently separates the crawlspace from the ground. This is one part of our encapsulation system, designed to keep homes like this one, safe from moisture.

This homeowner discovered some water damage on his joists, causing needed concern for the stability of his floors. The water damage wasn't a surprise, as this crawl space had been left completely exposed and unprotected against moisture. Fortunately, our team came with the perfect solution. Our encapsulation system will cover moisture from every direction and every shape it comes in. The bright white barrier you see is our durable CleanSpace Liner, which helps separate the crawl space from the moist ground and outside air. For the humid air, our crawl space dehumidifier will continuously regulate things and keep the underside of the home at a safe level of humidity. A sump pump system is also installed, which collects water intrusion, water from the ground and from the sump pump, to be sent away from the crawl space. The floors of this home have never been safer!

In the before photo, notice the exposed dirt crawl space in Lumberton, MS, plagued by high humidity and increased moisture levels. Much has been added to this once damp, unprotected crawl space! When the humidity under the home got bad enough to buckle their floors, they knew they needed a change. The white plastic you now see covering the underside of the home is our CleanSpace Liner, a very durable vapor barrier that covers the floors, walls, and supports of the entire space. You can also see two devices next to each other, our Crawl Space Dehumidifier and our Sump Pump system.  Both work constantly and together to collect moisture from the ground and air, and send it away from the crawl space. To protect some of the weaker floors, we also have installed some of our Smart Jacks, you can see one behind the dehumidifier. This will remain in the crawl space to act as a very stable support.
