Water was entering a basement in Normal, IL, causing damage and concern. To solve this issue, the WaterGuard System was first installed. This drainage system is installed adjacent to the home and provides a channel that connects to the sump pump. Its design will drain any wall seepage without allowing dirt and debris from the floor to enter and clog the pipes. Next, the TripleSafe Sump Pump System was installed. This system assures protection from everyday problems with an ordinary pump. The TripleSafe can handle a heavy flow of water, thanks to a secondary pump included inside that will help eliminate the water if the first pump is unable to keep up with the amount of water that is entering it. It also features a removable airtight lid that reduces noise, prevents objects from falling in, and keeps moisture, insects, and odor from coming out of the sump. This system also includes an UltraSump battery backup system which turns on if the power goes out and effectively pumps out the water. These systems will keep this basement dry all the time!
Grantsburg, IL residents Ronald and Theresa B. were concerned about their basement leaking at the floor and wall joint during heavy rains. Luckily, System Design Specialist Sam W. knew that the WaterGuard Perimeter Drainage System would help keep their basement dry! Foreman Devan B. and his crew installed this durable and effective system, and now Theresa and Ronald can rest assured that their basement is now waterproofed!
Belle Rive, Illinois resident Richard's basement suffered water seepage from cracks in the brick foundation. This water seeapge caused mold to thrive, created a musty environement, and risked damaging his belongings. Richard tried at home solutions to collect the water but failed.
As part of his waterproofing system, the TripleSafe sump pump system was installed. TripleSafe is equipped with a main pump, backup pump, and battery-powered pump to ensure the basement stays dry all the time. It is also sealed to prevent moisture from escaping into the basement.
Many basements experience water leakage where the wall meets the floor. That's because water can build up beneath the house by the footing. This water eventually seeps in through the gap between the wall and the floor.
Basement walls can also leak through gaps and cracks, adding to the water seeping into the basement. Block walls often face this problem, as water permeates the many cracks between the blocks.
One waterproofing system is specifically designed to handle water soaking through those places. The system is called WaterGuard™. WaterGuard™ is installed on top of the foundation, beneath the floor - where it will catch water before it rises above the floor - and against the wall, where it will catch water that drips down the cracks of the wall.
All this water is directed away from the basement and into the sump pump system where it will be pumped out of the home. With WaterGuard™ installed in the perfect spot, water leaks through the floor or through the wall are handled together.
A walkway in Mount Zion, IL was sinking and needed to be leveled. The homeowner noticed the walkway continuously getting worse and reached out to Woods for a solution. Our team used the PolyLevel™ System, which works by injecting the concrete with a durable foam that sets and expands, lifting the concrete back to its original position. To finish it off, the team seals the concrete joints with our NexusPro™ Joint Sealant. This prevents water and debris from infiltrating between the slabs. With these in place, the walkway will be leveled and ready for use within hours, not days!
