Amanda had a long history of water in her basement and was sick of dealing with it. The number of sleepless nights carrying buckets of water out of her basement would astonish you. That's when she said, "Enough is enough... I'm tired of being a human sump pump!" After sealing the racks in her slab and joints and still getting water in her basement, she knew it was time to call the professionals.
One of our System Design Specialists, Brock Scott, got the call and headed out to Amanda's home to figure out what was going on with her basement. Upon inspection, Brock found evidence of effervescence, a white powdery substance that forms due to moisture, on all of her basement walls. To fix her issue, we decided to use WaterGuard, a Triple Safe sump pump, PolyLevel for concrete, and CleanSpace. The concrete outside her home was angled to drain water towards the foundation wall. So we raised that to prevent the water from draining directly to the basement. On top of that, we also did a full perimeter WaterGuard and an entire wall of CleanSpace to direct water straight to her new triple safe sump pump.
At the start of this, Amanda was desperate for help. She was at her wit's end and needed a system she could trust and that would work.
Kara A. is the landlord of her rental property in Hutchinson, KS and was worried about the structural damage water was having on the walls. In addition, she was worried about mold growth due to the moisture and wanted the new tenant to be able to utilize the whole home. After scheduling an appointment, she loved the detailed explanation we were able to provide.
System Design Specialist Sean Robinson fully inspected the home, and Kara opted to have our team install our full basement waterproofing system. The team began by waterproofing the full perimeter and connecting a lateral line to waterproof the floor. A SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier was then installed to prevent moisture and mold growth. Lastly, PowerBraces were installed on three separate walls to permanently stabilize the foundation from moving inward, and can be tightened over time to return the walls to their vertical position.
Kara was thrilled with the team’s efficiency and dedication to quality. Our solutions transformed the basement into a livable space both structurally and aesthetically.
WaterGaurd was installed around the West wall of the home. We also installed wall anchors and earth plates on the West wall. This will help with their foundation and waterproofing needs.
Sarah & Craig E. were tired of worrying about their basement. Anytime it would rain, they would have a mess to clean up. After getting a referral about our waterproofing solutions, they decided to give us a call.
System Design Specialist Miles Hodson went out to their home. Upon inspection, he was able to identify that water was coming in through the cold joint and foundation wall. The crew started with installing WaterGuard, a basement drainage system around the perimeter. Then we encapsulated the basement with CleanSpace, a thick liner to keep the walls dry. To control the levels of high humidity, we also installed a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier. Sarah and Craig were extremely pleased to gain peace of mind in knowing their basement would stay dry.
This home was built in the early 1900s, and due to several years of washout and dryout, the structure started to buckle under pressure and weight. This resulted in the shelf wall failing. We were able to install EverBrace wall system to support the failing brick walls and then installed a TripleSafe sump pump system with a buried discharge to aid in the event of water in the basement.
