Sistering the crawl space joists of a Sunset Beach, NC, homeowner involved reinforcing the existing, rotting joists by attaching new, structurally sound lumber alongside them. This approach was necessary after discovering that the original joists were compromised due to moisture damage, making them unstable and unsafe.

June contacted Southeast Foundation and Crawl Space Repair back in March 2017. Here mother had passed away and she was in the process of getting the home on the market. The garage of the home would flood anytime it rained and June knew that she would not be able to sell the home in the current condition, especially the garage. Southeast Foundation and Crawl Space Repair inspector Justin Edwards met with June to discuses the best option to keep the rain our of the garage of the home. Our crew, led by Cornelius Lamb, installed our Trench Drain System along with a SuperSump, UltaSump III and a battery back up. June is happy to have the garage of the home fixed of the rain water entering the garage of the home.

With the wet and musty insulation safely removed and disposed of, we encapsulated the crawl space with CleanSpace vapor barrier, drainage matting, SilverGlo wall insulation, and a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier.

We installed our LawnScape Outlet at the end of this discharge line to allow water to freely escape for the line while also creating an easier access point to service the system.
