This crawl space in Hillsboro, OH had ongoing moisture problems that were causing musty air to rise into the home. Concerned about air quality, energy efficiency, and potential damage to their home’s structure, the homeowners began researching solutions. That’s when they found our website and learned about crawl space encapsulation.
After reading about the many benefits—including reduced humidity, lower energy bills, added storage space, and protection from pests—they reached out to schedule an inspection. Once on site, our team cleaned out the crawl space, sealed off all outside air vents, and installed a heavy-duty vapor barrier along the floor and walls. We also added a dehumidifier to help maintain a dry, stable environment year-round.
The result is a clean, dry, and healthier space under their home—and the homeowners couldn’t be happier.
This crawl space in Tollesboro, KY, was struggling with moisture intrusion. As a result, the fiberglass insulation became moldy, the wood became soft, and the air quality throughout the home became poor. We remedied the issue by encapsulating the crawl space with our 20 mil CleanSpace vapor barrier. In order to safely install the vapor barrier, we also had to waterproof the space, install a dehumidification system, and remove any debris. As an added bonus, we replaced their moldy pink insulation with our SilverGlo insulation panels along the foundational walls.
This cute little home had a crawlspace that needed encapsulated. We did the routine CleanSpace, SaniDry Sedona, SIlverGlo and SmartPump sump pump.
This crawl space project is pretty unique because the floor of the crawl space was concrete, (also known as a rat slab). Concrete is a porous material and allows moisture to seep through, and this foundation was leaking heavily. We jackhammered a sump pit into the floor, installed our sump pump into the pit, installed our dimpled drainage matting, installed our CleanSpace vapor barrier over the matting, and then wrapped up by installing our SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier. Now this crawl space is safe from flooding and moisture damage.
This homeowner wanted a mold prevention system for their crawl space, so we encapsulated it with our CleanSpace moisture barrier. After installation, the homeowner gained some peace of mind knowing they won't have to worry about breathing unhealthy air or having moisture issues with their wooden framing.
