Many homes in our area have both a crawl space and a basement, as was the case for this project in Germantown, OH. The homeowners were frustrated with their 2.5-foot crawl space, which was musty and emitting unpleasant odors. The smells were especially strong whenever they went down to the basement to do laundry, store items, or work out. Wanting a solution, they reached out to us for crawl space encapsulation.

We sent one of our inspectors for a free quote, and after reviewing the proposal, the homeowners agreed to move forward. Within a couple of weeks, we began the project. For smaller crawl spaces like this one, we have specialized crews experienced in working within tight areas. A two-man team, Mike and Oscar, completed the encapsulation in just five hours, leaving the homeowners with a cleaner, fresher space.

This crawl space renovation in Lebanon, OH, completed in December 2024, shows just how transformative a proper encapsulation can be. The original crawl space had only a thin layer of plastic on the floor, which wasn’t enough to keep out moisture. We began by installing a full waterproofing system, featuring underground perforated pipes, our SmartSump sump pump, and a battery backup for reliable protection. Next, we separated the crawl space from the earth with our CleanSpace vapor barrier, covering both the floor and walls. To maintain a healthy, dry environment year-round, we installed an automatic, energy-efficient dehumidification system. Finally, we upgraded their access with our air-tight Turtl door. The result is a completely dry, fully protected crawl space—and very satisfied homeowners.

This wet, gravel-floored crawl space in Morrow, OH, was giving the homeowners trouble by spreading musty smells throughout the upper levels of the home. We transformed the crawl space in one day by installing 1036 sq ft. of CleanSpace (vapor barrier) with drainage matting floors. We also wrapped the walls with our SilverGlo insulation and more of our CleanSpace vapor barrier. We topped the job off by installing our SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier. We encapsulated this crawl space in Goshen, OH, so that the homeowners can have a healthier home that will help them save money on energy, breathe better quality air, and prevent future costly repairs. We encapsulated the crawl space with our CleanSpace liner, which is 20 mils thick and very flexible. The CleanSpace is antimicrobial, and won't grow mold. It will also help keep out moisture. We also installed our SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier in order to keep this treated space as dry as we want it to be. With an automatic sensor, this dehumidifier is capable of removing up to 100 pints of water out of the air in a day.
