This home in Dayton, OH, was going on the housing market, but the seller wanted to fix their sinking porch problem first. The seller had their project manager contact our Real Estate Specialist, Donny, to figure out a solution. Donny drew up a relatively simply plan - we would stabilize the sinking pillar with two helical piers, and then try and lift the pillar back up with our hydraulics. As you can see, we achieved a pretty good lift, and we were able to close the gap between the concrete pillar and the porch slab. We then covered the piers, (that are latched underneath the porch footer and reach deep into load-bearing strata) with soil, leaving the system completely concealed. We used our helical pier system to push this chimney back up against the home. Our piers are driven deep into load-bearing depths, allowing us to guarantee the structure will be stabilized. The result of this project was a happy homeowner who doesn't have to worry about their chimney toppling over any longer.

Our CarbonArmor wall repair system is a strong yet minimally invasive solution for foundation walls beginning to bow inward. In this Morrow, OH basement, we started by grinding the wall to create a clean, rough surface for proper adhesion. A layer of epoxy resin was then applied, followed by the installation of carbon fiber straps for reinforcement. Another coat of epoxy secured the straps firmly in place. Each strap was then anchored to the rim joist using our ArmorLock system, which connects the carbon fiber to a heavy-duty steel bracket for added stability. Prolonged dry weather had caused the soil to shrink, creating gaps that allowed the concrete blocks to settle further into the ground. With the blocks no longer able to hold the weight of the home's first floor, the structure began to fail.

The homeowners attempted a DIY fix, using a makeshift arrangement of 2x4s and cinder blocks. Unfortunately, this approach lacked the stability and strength needed to support the crawlspace or anchor securely to solid ground.
