The work our team did on this crawlspace included a full vapor barrier and not only made it look so much better, but also made the home a much healthier and safer place to live!
Sarah & Ryan bought a house with a dirt floor crawlspace. They had no idea how this affects the air in the home. When the winter time came, they found that the windows in their home were fogging up. They realtor told them that the windows were new so they didn't know what to do. Omni Basement Systems came out to investigate. They found that the crawlspace was cold and very humid. The humidity also caused the floor joist and beam system to sag from all of the dampness. Through the stack effect of air that causes air to move in a upwardly fashion, all this humidity was coming up into the living areas and causing the windows to fog.
Omni Basement Systems Suggested our Crawlspace products. First support the floor with our galvanized Smartjack system, encapsulate the area with our patented Cleanspace, dry the air with our powerful Sanidry Sedona dehumidifier and lastly, insulate the walls and joist headers with spray foam. (to be installed picture was taken.)
The customer said that as soon as work was complete they couldn't believe the change in their home. The windows were no longer fogging and the air was fresher. Once the insulation is complete, they will be able to turn their thermostat down and the furnace won't work as hard now that the air is warmer and dryer.

Larry B. in Welland, ON has a house with a nasty crawlspace. Despite efforts to insulate and encapsulate himself, the crawlspace was still cold and damp. This caused problems with the floor joists sagging and cold floors upstairs. Omni Basement Systems recommended a 3 part system for Larry. Add supplemental beam and Smartjacks to fix the sagging floors, Silverglo Insulation on the walls to keep the crawlspace and floors warm and finally, encapsulate the crawlspace with Cleanspace membrane. Cleanspace is 20mil thick liner with cord reinforcing and antimicrobial product built right in. Cleanspace is mechanically fasten so it will never come off.
