Fiberglass insulation holds onto water moisture and becomes an ideal place for mold spores to grow when it is left open to the elements. To insulate a crawlspace we recommend our encapsulation. This has Terrablock laid over the dirt floor, and either SilverGlo or Spray Foam along the foundation walls. 

This home had old fiberglass insulation in the crawlspace, but high humidity had caused it to sag and hold onto water. As the years passed this became mold spores, and an odd odor emerged in the living spaces above. To clean up their crawlspace, clear out the smell, and make their home dry and healthy they called up John's Waterproofing for a encapsulation. 

This homes heating and cooling costs were high, and the homeowner knew their poorly insulated crawl space added to this. They had replaced and reattached the fiberglass a few times over the years, but it would droop and fall again. They were ready to find a solution that would actually last, and they were ready to invest so they could save in the long run. To do this, they called up John's Waterproofing to learn about encapsulation. Our system uses TerraBlock insulation along the dirt floor and Spray Foam along the walls to provide lasting insulation to the crawl space.
