This home was having water coming through the hillside walls on their basement. To address this, they called up John's Waterproofing. We waterproofed along the walls using our WaterGuard Drainage System, installed a TripleSafe sump pump, SaniDry dehumidifier, and ThermalDry Radiant Wall system so they could finish over the walls.
Water coming into the basement is an issue. This homeowner had recently cleared out there basement to allow their kids to use the space for activates when it was to wet outside. But, with the floorspace open, they now became aware that if it rained outside, it also became to wet here to play. The owners called up John's Waterproofing and had their free inspection scheduled. We sent out a design specialist to do their free inspection, afterwards working with the owners to craft a solution to fit the home.
To begin waterproofing the space, we created a trench around the interior perimeter of the basement, laying in gravel and WaterGuard. This system collects groundwater and channels it to the lowest point in the basement, from here water is carried away from the home by a TripleSafe sump pump. The WaterGuard drain system has inspection ports installed regularly to allow for easy maintenance, the rest being covered up. Along the walls we than installed our CleanSpace wall system. This is a 20 Mil thick woven vapor barrier, allowing moisture to safely move down the walls into the drain system to be addressed. The final step for this home was a SaniDry dehumidifier to maintain a healthy relative humidity in the space year round. We had our electrical division install dedicated outlets for the machines here, and the project is all done. Now the owners of the home can safely use this space for their rainy day needs.
Brightwall keeps the basement dry while looking bright, finished and clean. The SuperSump sump pump works with the WaterGuard to pump out any water in the drain system.
Here is a customer who was having significant water damage in their crawl space. Our techs were able to go out and replace the sump pump and then waterproof the walls with BrightWall Paneling. This basement is guaranteed to stay dry for a long time.
This homeowner found that water was seeping through their basement walls every time it rained outside. Wanting to resolve this issue, the homeowner called John's Waterproofing about what options they had. We informed the homeowner that with our basement waterproofing system there could be a proper drainage system installed that would control the influx of water and securely push it out. This is done by installing a WaterGuard drainage pipe along the interior perimeter of the basement so that any water from the walls or rising groundwater can be collected. From there the WaterGuard connects to a SuperSump Plus sump pump to take all that collected water and pumps it out and away from the homes foundation through a discharge line. Without having a drainage system installed, water would continue to flood in and ruin this basement. Now, the homeowner is pleased that the sump pump is capable of controlling the water intrusion so that the home can stay dry all year round.
