Our inspector, Andy, went out to take a look and he noticed that the wooden ceiling beam in the basement was starting to fail which was causing the floor above to slope, so he drew up a solution that would add support to the home. On installation day, our foreman, Kervin, and his crew installed seven of our SmartJack Stabilizers in the basement. The stabilizers are made of galvanized steel so they stay strong don't deteriorate over time. The SmartJacks provide immediate stabilization and can even be adjusted to lift the floor above back its original position. Our inspector visited the home and saw the horizonal crack, indicating the wall was bowing into the basement. Push Piers are driven deep into the soil beneath the home's foundation to stabilize the structure. Once the Push Piers are in place, they can even be used to lift the foundation and close the cracks. The crew was able to slightly lift the foundation and then they sealed up the visible cracks to close them completely. Now the homeowner no longer has to worry about their home having settlement problems!
