When this homeowner called Redeemers Group, water intrusion along the east wall of their stone basement had become a growing concern. Though the space was mostly empty, the client had clear plans to begin using it for storage—and eventually finish it as livable space. However, the damp conditions, musty odor, and irregular wall surface were holding those plans back. The east wall in particular showed signs of persistent seepage, making the basement unsuitable for even basic use.
To address the problem at its source, we installed our Two-Stage Basement Waterproofing System along the full east wall. Given the uneven and bumpy surface of the original stone wall, we also applied our durable CleanSpace® Wall System, a heavy-duty vapor barrier that seals out moisture and improves appearance instantly. Two wooden posts in the work area were temporarily removed and professionally supported while our team completed the installation, then securely reinstalled afterward—ensuring no compromise to structural safety during the process.
To help combat humidity and eliminate lingering odors, we also added a high-performance basement dehumidifier. The transformation was immediate: what was once a damp, musty space is now a dry, protected foundation ready for use and future finishing. If you're struggling with basement water issues or want to reclaim valuable space in your home, contact Redeemers Group today for a free, customized waterproofing consultation.

Hidden Crawl Space Mold Threatened Indoor Air Quality in Bolivar Home
When Karen C. of Bolivar, TN discovered mold growing beneath her home, she was understandably alarmed. Despite a recent HVAC upgrade and termite inspection, the mold issue had gone unnoticed until her HVAC contractor uncovered it during ductwork wrapping. Concerned about her daughter Hallee’s lifelong allergies and the long-term health of the home her late father built, Karen reached out to Redeemers Group for a professional evaluation. The inspection revealed significant mold growth and moisture concerns that could compromise both air quality and structural integrity if left untreated.
Professional Encapsulation and Moisture Control Solved the Mold Problem for Good
Our team implemented a complete crawl space encapsulation and mold remediation system to stop the problem at its source. We began by applying LumberKote to protect the wooden structure, then installed drainage matting and wrapped all piers to improve moisture management. The crawl space walls were lined with SilverGlo insulation and sealed with a CleanSpace vapor barrier, creating an airtight and energy-efficient environment. We also installed a Sedona dehumidifier, condensate pump, and an Aspen air purification system inside the living area to improve indoor air quality. Every component—from sealing the floating slabs to fine-tuning the airflow—was designed to create a drier, cleaner, and healthier home for years to come.
Long-Term Results: A Healthier Home and Cleaner Air for the Family
After the project was completed, Karen noticed a significant improvement in comfort and air quality throughout her home. The encapsulation not only eliminated the mold and moisture but also provided long-term protection against future humidity issues. Hallee’s allergy symptoms improved, and the home’s foundation is now better preserved against rot, pests, and mold recurrence. This comprehensive solution ensures that the house her father built remains strong for generations to come.

Regina had us out about a year ago because she had flooding into her basement from the outside. She had some landscaping redone and thought it had been addressed with proper drainage, but water still got into her basement. At the time of the appointment a year ago the basement was finished and she did not like the idea of having to remove floors that she had just put down and redoing sheet rock. However, she just had some pipes burst with the recent snowstorm and it leaked from the upper floor down into the finished basement and caused lots of damage. When the flooring got pulled up, she noticed that the basement was leaking and knew it was time to get the waterproofing done.
