  I have a crawl space foundation below my unit (2 units in same building). My unit gets water intrusion during heavy rains (other unit does not). Water might drain out quickly depending on severity, frequency, number of back-to-back storms, and duration of rainy weather, it can eventually stay soaked (like a muddy kiddie pool) and damage the drywall in garage and adjoining walls connected to main floor of house. Crawl space is a dirt floor with a slope. Contributing factors: Improper drainage, water seepage entering via the foundational seams, some cracks from decaying tree roots at lowest point in crawl space below stairs, and high water tables (potentially). We expect a civil engineering reporting in about a week and they will be recommending a foundation drainage system. We also want to get an estimate for a sump pump system inside the space. We currently have a temp pump attached to a garden hose to mitigate some water intrusion, but its only effective in one area and we get intrusion in different areas of crawl space. We would like to find out what you can do to help fix this problem and schedule an inspection for an estimate on solution(s) you can offer.
