This home in Hartford Connecticut had a groundwater intrusion issue that we fixed with our WaterGuard drainage system. Other than the floor to wall cold joint, there was also water intrusion coming in from the step up area. So we used 2 feet of our CleanSpace Wall system in order to capture that smaller amount of water and moisture. This will also help reduce the humidity in the basement.
This was an excellent way to stop water seepage and making the space aesthetically more pleasing at the same time.
A homeowner in Hartford, CT was getting water into their basement and needed a solution. They made the right decision when they called us at Connecticut Basement Systems to have us solve their problems. After scheduling an appointment, one of our Sales Consultants, Brian DiRisi, went out to the home to assess the issues and write up a solution.
Once the plan was approved it was time for one of our Foremen, Krzysztof Wilk, and his crew to install this project. They installed our WaterGuard drain system along with our SuperSump Plus. These will work together to collect the water and pump it out of the home at a safe distance. The crew also installed a CleanSpace wall system to protect the walls from water/moisture and ensure if there is any, it gets directed into the WaterGuard system. Now this basement will stay dry because of our strong waterproofing systems.
When we arrived in this basement, it was humis and wet. The existing sump pump was insufficient, and wasn't able to dry out the space when it rained. We replaced the old pump with our TripleSafe system. The TripleSafe includes a primary pump, secondary pump in case of heavy water, and a backup battery pump. Alongside the SaniDry dehumidifier, the TripleSafe system created a dry basement!
Whenever it rained, water used to flow through the basement hatchway and into the house. We installed the TrenchDrain drainage system to keep water from entering the home. Water flows into the grates of the TrenchDrain, where it is redirected to the sump pump system to be pumped out of the home. The owners never have to worry about their basement flooding from the hatchway again!
The M. Family wanted a playroom / family room: a warm, comfortable and safe space for kids and family to hang out. They had a semi-finished basement with a lot of cement that was cold and potentially dangerous as a playroom space. The basement had been previously waterproofed but not effectively: there were obvious water spots from previous water damage in the ceiling tiles. To replace the old walls, we put in our beautiful Everlast Wall Panels which are not only attractive, they are mold, rot and dent-resistant. They also come with a 50 year warranty! To replace the updated carpet that had not aged well, we installed our Thermal Dry Basement Flooring System. This flooring system is stain resistant, will not support mold or mildew, and is available in a variety of colors. Lastly we installed out ceiling tile system with recessed lighting fixtures to replace their damaged tiles.
The homeowners were eager to get started using their cozy dry family living space!
