A customer's original vapor barrier had fallen apart so she called our team to ask us to encapsulate her crawl space. We installed CleanSpace, an uninterrupted vapor barrier. This material is applied to the walls and floor of your crawl space. It restricts all moisture, outside air, and pests from entering your crawl space. This system creates an energy-efficient crawl space, and it also gives your crawl space a clean finish.
Shannon was having trouble with water and mice getting into her crawl space. The entry way was covered by plywood and bricks which was not working at keeping the entry sealed. She wanted a better, neater, safer entry into the crawl space that had a well and a door that locked. We installed the Turtl which is a covered crawl space entry well. The plastic it is made out of wont't rot or rust and the door combined with the well creates an airtight cover to the crawl space!
James M's crawlspace was riddled with waterproofing issues which contributed to ongoing flooding in his basement. At one point, he noticed at least six inches of water accumulated in one corner of the crawlspace. Water leaking into a basement crawlspace will find a home either in your walls, evaporating into your home in the form of water vapor, and could cause mold and rot if not removed.
Our system design speciaist Jim designed a waterproofing solution for James' crawlspace that will give him peace of mind when the rains comes again. We replaced James' two faulty sump pumps with our TripleSafe sump pump system with three levels of protection.
To prevent water from entering through the concrete and floor in the form of water vapor, we installed a CleanSpace plastic liner designed to permanently keep away any moisture and cold air. We placed it over the walls and floor of his crawlspace which will now block anything outside of it. CleanSpace is extremely durable and even comes with a mold-resistant additive called UltraFresh.
The homeowners had water coming into their basement from their crawlspace. Water was pooling in their crawlspace and seeping into their home. The homeowner did not have a sump pump so standing water had started to accumulate in the basement.
Our professional team installed the TripleSafe sump pump in order to combat this standing water. The TripleSafe sump pump is great because it has three sump pumps in one, giving you triple protection. The first pump will remove water from your home efficiently and effectively. The second pump is more powerful and has a separate discharge line. The second pump is there for you on the rare occasions that the first pump fails. The third pump is equipped with batteries so it is there for you if the power goes out. The triple safe sump pump is the best option because it adjusts automatically when needed and keeps your basement dry with triple protection.

Our Energy Savings Package is the perfect combination for customers looking to be more energy efficient. Much of your home’s air quality is a direct result of the condition of your crawl space. To prevent that air quality from being tarnished, it's necessary to keep humidity and moisture out and insulate the space from extreme temperatures. Unfortunately for this Sawyer, MI home, concrete block walls and dirt floors (like those in the before picture) offer very little resistance when it comes to water, air, and outside temperatures.
The crew was able to change all of that with SilverGlo wall insulation and the CleanSpace vapor barrier – two of the products included in our Energy Savings Package. The SilverGlo walls seen in the after photo will reflect heat back to its source, keeping the crawl space cool or warm depending on the season. CleanSpace is a durable plastic liner that won’t be penetrated by moisture. With the package working together, this home will save a bundle on their heating and cooling costs.
