Darryl has a seasonal waterfront home that had a water intrusion issue in the basement. Water was coming up from the cracks in the floor and the sump pump was not pumping the water out. We used the WaterGuard to collect the water and send it to a new sump pump. It is installed under the floor so you do not have an unsightly drain in your space. The new sump pump we installed, the TripleSafe, has 3 levels of protection to keep the home dry even if a pump fails or there is a power outage. We also installed the SaniDry XP dehumidifier to dry the space and filter the air. It stands up and can be stored in a corner or closet so that it can stay out of the way in your basement.

Our customer called with multiple cracks in his basement wall. There wasn't much water coming in, but there was some - and that's the right time to fix the crack. Otherwise, water will degrade the concrete as it continues to leak in, further widening the crack and letting even more water in, and so on and so forth.

We used FlexiSpan to seal the crack; FlexiSpan is a flexible sealant that moves with the crack as the wall naturally shifts, keeping it sealed. A small drain in the concrete below the crack keeps water directed away from the basement floor, and the basement stays dry.

Jon had some water intrusion happening through his basement walls so he made the call to Ayers for help. We sent a crew to conduct a free inspection and from this our System Design Specialists determined he needed our TripleSafe Sump Pump System and our Basement to Beautiful Panels. First with TripleSafe, this three pump system will keep this water off his belongings. The first pump doing most of the work, the second there for backup, and the third is battery-operated for power outages. Then we added Basement to Beautiful Panels because these are great for insulation and are made of inorganic material that won't grow mold or bacteria. Jon's basement is now protected and has never looked better!

This clean space was musty and had become a home for mice. The owners of the lake cottage wanted that fixed. The answer for them was our CleanSpace encapsulation system which helps create a moisture barrier to keep any water seepage and harmful water vapors separate from the home above. The CleanSpace system is durable and resistant to tearing as well as being mold and mildew resistant. 

These homeowners scored some additional energy savings as well while we were at it by adding SilverGlo insulation to the walls and SilverGlo insulation to the floors which help to reflect heat back into the home and create an additional vapor barrier. The results are astounding. 

These Bellevue, MI customers called us after becoming fed up with the water issues that plagued their crawlspace. Whenever it rained, the sump pump – trying to keep up with the leakage – would constantly run. Most of the water was coming through leaks in the blocks walls or passing through the tarp that was used to cover the crawl space floor.

To give the overworked sump a much-needed rest, the system design specialist recommended that the homeowners look into our Ultimate Energy Saver package. The package includes a combination of multiple crawl space products like a vapor barrier and the SilverGlo wall insulation that are seen in the after photo. Both TerraBlock insulation and a drainage matting were included, as well, but are covered in the photo by the CleanSpace system. With the drainage matting in place, water will flow directly to the sump pump for discharge and hopefully, ease the burden. The combined effort of TerraBlock insulation and CleanSpace will keep moisture from rising through the dirt floor and causing damage to the crawl space. Not to mention, the insulation that comes from TerraBlock and the SilverGlo walls will help save the house a bundle on energy utilities. The full encapsulation of the crawl space should mean the end of this family’s crawl space issues.
