After the owner of this house passed away, her son in law decided it was time to say goodbye to the home as well. The only problem was the basement flood problems, twice in the past few years, the owner had gone downstairs to discover water pooling up to almost 4 inches. Determined to take care of the problem before he listed the home on the market, the owner gave us a call.
With a perimeter drainage system being installed to collect any water in the basement, it became necessary to provide a way for discharge as well. Based on the recommendation of our system design specialist, the homeowner elected to go with the SuperSump seen in in the after photo. Once the ground was excavated, both the sump pump and a WaterGuard Drainage system were installed. Water that floods into the basement will be directed to the SuperSump by WaterGuard and then pumped out. The SuperSump is extremely effective and capable of pumping out over 2,000 gallons of water per hour, making flooding a thing of the past for this home.
This family in Mount Pleasant, MI had had enough of the water in their basement -- so they gave us a call. After a professional inspection we decided the best way to ensure their basement would no longer suffer from water problems would be to install our patented TripleSafe sump pump. The TripleSafe sump pump system provides three levels of protection for your basement. For normal functioning, the TripleSafe has a powerful â…“ horsepower sump pump. The ½ hp secondary pump can discharge as much as 3,900 additional gallons of water per hour at an 8-foot head. In the case of a tripped circuit, power outage, or sump failure, your TripleSafe's UltraSump Battery Backup System will kick in. Peace of mind!
Sometimes, it is not the fault of the home for a high water yield. Often because of where the home is placed, it can be susceptible to flooding. Even with strong working sump pumps there can often be times when the pumps cannot meet the demand.
WaterGuard is a great remedy to this issue. The series of channels are installed into the foundational ground and covered to keep the area sightly. The channels lead the water to an exit port that empties far away from the home.
David was on the hunt for a solution to the water intruding in his basement where the floor and wall met so he called up Ayers. After we completed a thorough inspection in his basement it was settled that our WaterGuard System would take care of the water. The WaterGuard System is a drainage system placed below the basement floor along the perimeter to ensure water is collected here and directed to the sump pump rather than ending up as puddles on the floor. This system is concealed with concrete and once it dries it will blend into the space!
Most homes come equipped with s sump pump. Without these pumps, the access flow of water would have nowhere else to go but stand still and collect on the basement floor. Instead, these pumps divert the water back outside, keeping the inner space safe and dry.
Some homes experience unavoidable flooding and need a reliable pump on standby for when it does. That's why here at Ayers our team uses a TripleSafe pump whenever a new sump pump needs to be installed. The TripleSafe comes with two extra failsafes to ensure the water level never overwork the system. Along with its initial motor, the pump also has a backup motor and batteries on reserve in case of power outages.
