Victor Barke 101

Victor is the driving force behind Complete Basement Systems. Owner and President of Complete Basement Systems since 1975, Victor is energized by his direct ability to make a positive impact on people’s lives.  “I love to help people, plain and simple.  Whether it is a new customer that has an unhealthy basement, a crew member that has an interesting installation, or a new employee trying to learn the ropes, I love helping people solve their problems.”

With over 45 years of experience in the construction industry, Victor’s experience and leadership skills are instrumental to the success of the company. He truly leads by example, and is a firm believer in being a “life learner,” always carving out time in his schedule to learn from influencers and industry leaders. Victor and his wife, Kathy, have worked diligently to build a strong culture for Complete Basement Systems, and take pride in every single one of their employees.

Who is Victor, really?

Q: How many cups of coffee do you drink per day?
A: It just takes one to get me going in the morning.

Q: What is something – outside of work – that you are extremely passionate about?
A: We love spending time with our grandchildren. From camping and fishing, to taking out the ATVs for a ride, Kathy and I enjoy spending time with our family in the outdoors.

Q: Who’s your favorite superhero?
A: Zig Ziglar

Q: Tell us about a person or situation that has had a significant impact on your life.
A: When I was in high school I worked for a service station. The owner treated me like a son and taught me a lot about business. He is the one who gave me the inspiration to start my own business.

Q: What energizes you to head to work each day?
A: There’s always productive work to be done; everyday brings something new. I am most energized by taking on new challenges and creating or improving processes to overcome those challenges.
