Susie is a homeowner in Marshfield, MO, and needed some help with her crawl space. The crew went out to her home and recommended encapsulating and giving the beams support. They started with the walls and encapsulated them with Clean Space to keep all of the moisture out. Then to offer the floor much-needed support they installed Smart Jacks with a new supplemental beam. 

Darrell and Dixie N. have been doing work on their home and wanted to make sure that the foundation was stable. Darrell and Dixie noticed that the drywall was cracking and the floors were buckling. Concerned that they work they have done on their home would be worth nothing, they decided to call Thrasher for a permanent solution that wouldn’t cause any more problems.

The crew went out to their home and saw that the crawl space had water, the floor was buckling, and drywall cracks were throughout the home. We installed 22 SmartJacks to lift and stabilize the floor. We also put in a sump pump and fully encapsulated the crawl space with CleanSpace so the space would stay dry. Darrell and Dixie were very excited to no longer have to worry about the floors or crawl space.

This customer was experiencing cold floors caused by poor insolation of their crawl space.  We installed full encapsulation with insulation to walls and rim joists of the crawlspace. 

The customer prioritized ensuring the structural stability of her house, having already addressed all other necessary repairs. One of the pressing issues she encountered was a bowing wall with noticeable deflection, which had worsened since the previous year. Recognizing the urgency of the situation, we employed power braces as an effective solution to rectify the problem. Through the gradual application of power braces, we can safely and steadily restore the wall to its proper alignment.

Walter had experienced water intrusion in his basement on multiple occasions, which hindered his ability to fully enjoy the space. He desired to finish their basement, install attractive floor finishes, and transform it into a usable area within his home. Additionally, he expressed concerns about the basement's dim and gloomy atmosphere.

Furthermore, Walter was particularly worried about the potential presence of mold and musty smells, as he had lost his sense of smell and wanted to avoid dealing with such issues. After enduring years with an unfinished basement, he finally decided to invest in flooring and other enhancements. However, he wanted assurance that these improvements would not be compromised by future water problems.

To address these concerns, we installed full-height CleanSpace, a highly effective vapor barrier system that safeguards against mold, mildew, and unpleasant odors. Additionally, we installed a Triple Safe sump pump, providing the customer with added peace of mind and ample backup protection in the event of any future water infiltration.

By implementing these measures, we ensured that Walter's basement would be protected from potential water issues, allowing him to confidently proceed with their plans to finish the space and create a more inviting and enjoyable area within his home.
