The crew removed the old vapor barrier and any debris and were able to successfully complete the encapsulation. Crawl space encapsulation refers to the addition of a heavy-duty moisture barrier to the dirt floor of your crawl space, sealed foundation vents, insulated walls, and special crawl space dehumidifier(s).

Removing your old, worn out vapor barrier and installing a drain matt is the first step in the CleanSpace System. While a traditional vapor barrier lasts and averadge of 7 years, a drain mat will last a lifetime. Its more durable than a 6 mil vapor barrier and its also secured down so that it stays in place.
