We'd like to welcome Sal Mulea to the Cowleys family. A longtime resident of Long Branch, NJ, joined Cowleys Little Rascals Nuisance Wildlife Division in April 2023. Aside from his can-do attitude and plethora of experiences (from various managerial roles to security director), it was Sal's handyman skills and construction knowledge that really impressed us!

Sal loves anything historic, especially the Anglo-Saxon/Viking period, and enjoys unwinding with his family on the weekends.

Since the area underneath the solar panels was wide open, the sparrows were using the solar panels as a natural cover and protection from the elements.
In order to make sure that the stainless steel grid wire stretched across the entire retention pond, we rowed out to install it.
After a short period of time, we safely retrieved the squirrels and relocated them to a new, humane location.
As we inspected the property, we found both squirrels and bats infesting the attic. Continuing our inspection, we determined that they both were getting into the home via the ridge vent.
After disinfecting the area and relocating the raccoon to a safer environment, we're going to replace the soffit.
We installed a positive set, temporarily enclosed the area off with hardware cloth, and set up several baited devices nearby. A positive set is comprised of a nose cone that is attached to a two-gaited, heavy-duty device. The nose cone will safely guide the squirrels into the device. It's called a positive set, because we are positive that the squirrels will enter the device. A short while later, we retrieved the squirrels and relocated them to a humane and safe environment.
The squirrels ripped off the soffit and made their way inside this home!
