Josh Bishop, a resident of Stanhope, NJ, joined the Cowleys family as one of our Wildlife Control Operators in March 2025.

Prior to joining the expanding Cowleys family, Josh has worked in the Nuisance Wildlife field for over 7 years and had multiple certification such as NJ Snare Card, OSHA 10, and NWCOA Bat Removal and Retrieving Level 1 & 2. After seeing our Help Wanted ad on Indeed, Josh decided to apply for the Wildlife Control Operator position. His expertise in the wildlife field immediately impressed us, but it was his smile and amazing attitude that caught our attention! We are ecstatic to welcome him to the family!

When not climbing roofs and relocating nuisance wildlife, Josh loves to go fishing, going for a hike with his dogs, and working on his new home!

We installed a one-way device over this entry point and set up several baited devices nearby. The one-way device allows the squirrels to safely exit the area, but prevents them from getting back in. After a short period of time, we retrieved all the squirrels and took them to a safer location.
Once that was done, we installed Dig Defense® around the entire perimeter of the shed. Dig Defense® is a below-ground fence system that is 15 inches deep, 4 feet across, and protects structures against all wildlife!
After cleaning up the mess they made, we began to exclude the area to prevent any future intrusions from the foxes.
After that, we installed bird spikes on the utility pipes. Bird spikes are a physical deterrent that will prevent the nuisance birds from landing on these areas. Preventing them from landing on these areas is an important and crucial step in bird deterrence. The bird spikes offer an effective and humane deterrent for all nuisance birds.
As you can see, the nuisance birds were roosting on the concrete beams. Not only were they causing a huge mess, but also defecating on the workers and causing a slip, trip, and fall hazard for them!
This custom-built home was constructed without a soffit and had a wide opening going around the entire perimeter of the home. This lead to both squirrels and bats taking advantage and infesting the home.
Upon arrival, we noticed that the nails for the fascia trim have backed out, which caused a big gap.
We temporarily enclosed the area off and installed a custom one-way device over the main access point. This will allow the birds to safely leave the area but prevent them from getting back in.
