Healthy Basement Systems helped a homeowner in Bayport, NY improve their basement with Foamax wall insulation and rim joist insulation. 

The basement had experienced signs of water intrusion, with moisture concerns and rust-colored/greenish discoloration on the walls. The new insulation helped make the basement warmer and more comfortable, with the homeowner noticing nearly a 12-degree temperature difference. CarbonArmor, a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier, and three SunHouse window enclosures were also installed to help reinforce the foundation and manage basement moisture.

Clean space was put on wall as a moisture barrier to prevent moisture from coming through.

The customer called us with questions about our crawlspace encapsulation system Their crawlspace had debris on the floor, insulation hanging from the ceiling, signs of mold and high humidity. Andrew Bouchard, one of our system design specialists, designed a system that will seal off and insulate the crawlspace.

First, we removed all the debris and mold. We then laid CleanSpace on the floor to create a vapor barrier between the dirt and the crawlspace. We then installed SilverGlo on the walls to insulate the walls. Lastly, we installed the SaniDry Sedona to control the humidity and filter the air. These products work together to lower the humidity and keep the space comfortable.

Since installation, the moldy smell has not returned, and the crawlspace has a clean look and is dry and healthy.
