This home in Binghamton, NY had some attic insulation but it was in bad shape and needed replacement.

After the old insulation was removed the attic was air sealed.  15 inches of cellulose insulation was then blown in, improving both the comfort and energy efficiency of the home.

The existing insulation was moved long enough to air seal the attic.   After it was put back, 12 addition inches of cellulose insulation was blown in over what was there.  The air sealing plus the additional insulation will make the home more comfortable and reduce energy usage.

2 inches of closed cell foam was sprayed on the foundation walls.  Along with other aspects of the project, this will contribute to making the home more comfortable.
