As part of a larger project, we insulated the rim joist of this home in Binghamton, NY.

The rim joist was sprayed with 2 inches of closed cell foam.  Along with the rest of the project, this will contribute to making the home more comfortable and energy efficient.

To insulate, we sprayed 3 inches of closed cell foam on the roof deck.  This will now contribute to making the home more comfortable.

After air sealing, as part of a larger project, we did an open blow of 15 inches of cellulose insulation.  Along with the rest of the project, this will contribute to a much more comfortable home that uses less energy.  On a side note, the barrier seen here is to dam off the cellulose from a storage deck.

To correct that, we sprayed 2 inches of closed cell foam to the foundation walls.  This will improve the comfort and energy efficiency of the addition and will also be beneficial to the rest of the home.
