This Windsor, NY attic space was going to be finished into conditioned space and needed insulation.

3 inches of closed cell foam was sprayed on the roof deck and 2 inches on the gable ends.  When this room is finished it will be considerably more comfortable and it will save energy throughout the home.

Air sealing was done where possible and missing insulation was replaced under the decking.  The deck was then dammed off and 14 inches of cellulose insulation was blown in around the decking to insulate the unused space.  As a result, the home will be both more comfortable and more energy efficient.
