As part of a larger project, we insulated the rim joist of this home in Newark Valley, NY.

After removing the existing fiberglass, we sprayed 2 inches of closed cell foam to the rim joist all the way around.  Combined with other aspects of this project, this will help make the home both more comfortable and energy efficient.

It was insulated using 3 inches of closed cell foam.  As a result, the room above will be more comfortable and the whole home will see more energy savings.
