The system works by transferring the weight of the structure to stable soil layers deep below the surface, preventing further sinking and restoring the foundation to its original position. In Cary, NC, this home was experiencing foundation settlement, which can lead to structural instability if left unaddressed. The “before” image shows our crew excavating along the foundation and installing helical piers specialized screw-like supports designed to anchor deep into stable soil and provide lasting support for the home. These piers effectively transfer the weight of the structure to load-bearing strata, halting further movement and restoring stability. Once the piers were installed and the foundation was secured, the excavated area was backfilled, graded, and covered with straw to promote new grass growth.
