You employee started cleaning under our house for the new foundation last Tuesday. My husband Bill and I were very surprised at how difficult the digging turned out to be. This house was built in 1947, on the site of an old hotel that burned down in 1945. Apparently the fire caused the Earth to be baked into brick-like hardness. And also everything buried on site. What a terrible excavation job!
