Having a crawlspace encapsulated is almost always a good idea, even if you aren't having problems at the moment. Getting a crawlspace encapsulated not only keeps water from getting into the crawlspace, but has a number of other benefits. Some of the others include; no more swelling or cracking floors, savings on heating and air, and easier access to crawlspace.

This homeowner in Columbia, SC was having some work done on in their basement, which was attached to the crawlspace of the home. The owner wanted to make sure that the crawlspace wouldn't end up affecting their basement later on, so they decided to give our company a call to have the crawlspace encapsulated!

The difference that our CleanSpace liner made was incredible. It completely transformed the look and function of the crawlspace. The crawlspace is now a much better looking area, where the homeowner no longer has to worry about any problems that could have arisen from having an unencapsulated crawlspace.

Our All-Dry of the Carolinas team was able to solve this problem by using a series of our watering proofing technology. Our crew installed a CleanSpace liner, sump pump, and dehumidifier. When encapsulating the crawlspace with CleanSpace, it seals the area to keep moisture from creeping up from the ground and causing damage to your foundation.   A dehumidifier was placed in the crawlspace as a solution to the humidity that is produced from the pipes under your house. A SumpPump is to flush out entering water and excess water from the dehumidifier from the crawlspace. Together with all these tools, the crawlspace is completely protected from moisture.

One product that we do not get to install too often is the Turtl Crawlspace Entrance, which is a shame because it is a very cool product! They are installed when a crawl space entrance is located below ground level, which is one of the main reasons we do not get to put them in too often. These are airtight and leak-free entrances, so when it rains, you will not have to worry about water getting into your crawlspace.

The "before" photo shows the old crawlspace entrance, which certainly was not the prettiest sight. While it did have a cover, it still has a lot of areas for water to leak into. This entrance is also pretty tight to squeeze into, which the Turtl fixes!

The "after" picture shows the Turtl in action! As you can see, this entrance is much cleaner and nicer to enter the crawlspace in! You can also see the CleanSpace liner has already been installed in the crawlspace, which is another way we help to prevent water from making its way into the crawlspace.

One of the most important parts of an installation of our system is making sure that the water is pumped out of the home and far enough away that it won't get back to the home. Sometimes this may be just a few feet and sometimes this can be a few dozen feet. In this homeowner's case, it was the latter of the two.

This discharge line can be seen in the first photo. As you can see, the discharge line comes from around the side of the home, through the front yard, and to a bed in the front of the home. This may seem excessive, but because of where the home was built this was the closest area that the water would not run back towards the home. Our crews only remove what they need so that the impact that they leave is as limited as possible.

The photo that was taken after the crew was packed up and about to head home was much different then earlier. They do such a great job making everywhere that they work look like almost no work has been done. In this case, the area of grass that had been removed cannot really be seen. One of our goals is to solve your problems, while keeping our footprint as small as possible. The crew did a great job of this for this homeowner!

Dreary crawlspaces are as unwelcoming as a wet floor sign. Often they are dark. Often they are humid. Often they are littered with specks of water and the scattered remnants of debris.
