This home in South Boston, VA was experiencing bowing walls in their basement. They also had some issues with moisture getting into the area through that wall. Fortress Foundation Solutions installed our Geo Lock Wall Anchors permanently stabilize the walls, we also added our Clean Space liners to keep out any moisture or water vapor. 

This returning customer was experiencing uneven floors in her home, and also had a crack in the hallway wall. Several years ago, we installed a SmartJack System in her crawlspace, and since she had a positive experience working with us in the past, and trusted us again with her home for this project. After our System Designer, Troy King, went out to have a look at what the cause may be, he discovered that some of the original wooden joists in her crawlspace were now rotting, causing her floors to be uneven and walls to begin cracking. Troy created a custom solution for her crawlspace that would not only fix the rotting joists, but also keep her crawlspace dry for years to come! Later, Foreman Warren used pressure treated lumber for the full joists, and CleanSpace vapor barrier and a SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier to keep the space clean, dry, and pest free! Now her home is stable and dry for many years to come!

The basement of this home in Halifax had a problem with water intrusion, and also had some cracking and bowing in the cinder block walls. The homeowner reached out to Fortress for a solution on how to keep their basement dry, and also have those walls stabilized and supported.

Our System Designer, Scott Llewellyn, went out to assess this home and determined that the best solution would be to install our WaterGuard XL System along the perimeter of the basement, along with a SuperSump sump pump. He also recommended we install 9 power braces to stabilize the walls and prevent further bowing.

Our WaterGuard System is designed to capture any wall or floor seepage before it reaches the basement floor, any water will then drain to the SuperSump and be pumped out of the home. The PowerBrace system permanently stabilizes your home's foundation walls. Zinc-plated steel beams are custom-fit to your basement wall height and secured tight against your basement wall with brackets anchored to your basement floor and floor joists. PowerBrace's can be tightened over time, potentially reversing wall failure without any invasive drilling or digging on the property.

This homeowner located in Nathalie, Virginia contacted Fortress Foundation Solutions because they were having a couple of different issues in their basement. One of the walls had started to bow inwards and they were also receiving water through the walls. 

Fortress recommended that we install our PowerBrace Foundation Wall Repair System. powerBraces are the ideal way to stabilize failing foundation walls and can stop any further damage and potentially straighten the wall. This system is also easily adjustable, allowing for tightening of the brace to attempt to raise the wall back to its original position.

We also recommended our Full Perimeter WaterGuard System. Our WaterGuard System is installed underneath the floor slab, resting on top of your foundation footing. This system is installed with minimal invasion of the slab, and all concrete is restored after installation.
