These homeowners are planning to move in the next two years and wanted to get their home's foundation repaired so any future homeowner wouldn't have to worry about this issue.  Their basement walls had visible cracks on multiple walls. Our crew came in and installed seven power braces to ensure their stability. They can now feel confident that foundation issues will not be on any potential home buyers list of concerns. 

A homeowner had noticed several soft spots in her floor. She had a kitchen remodel a few years back and installed granite countertops, an island and a larger refrigerator. Now her floor was beginning to sag under the added weight. She reached out to Fortress Foundation Solutions. Our System Designer met with her, providing a free estimate for SmartJack® Crawl Space Stabilizers. These are an adjustable supplemental support system used for sagging crawl spaces. They not only provide supplemental support, but can often lift failing floor joists or beams, restoring them to their original position. Now this homeowner can confidently walk in her kitchen without feeling like she will fall through the floor!

A homeowner near Chester Gap, VA, grew concerned when stair-step cracking in her basement wall developed into a long horizontal crack with bulging. She called Fortress Foundation Solutions for a free estimate. Our System Designer completed a thorough inspection offering a permanent solution with warranty. After her questions were answered, she chose to repair her foundation with GeoLock Wall Anchors. Toby Bryant and his experienced team soon arrived at her home. The GeoLock Wall Anchor rods were driven from a trench on the outside to inside the basement and secured to the wall with plates. Take a look at the wall plates now stabilizing the wall, locking it up tight! This homeowner now feels secure knowing her foundation is stable!

In Castleton, VA, we tackled a homeowner's challenge with a severely deflected wall. The bowing wall is clearly visible in the photo. They called Fortress Foundation Solutions to request a free consultation. System Designer Danny Camunas went out to perform an inspection. In his free estimate, he recommended our CarbonArmor Wall Reinforcing System. This state-of-the-art solution for bowing and cracking foundation walls incorporates the same technology the Army Corps of Engineers uses to reinforce bomb shelters, skyscrapers and bridges. The CarbonArmor System includes flexible carbon fiber straps that are up to 10 times stronger in tension than steel. Using high strength epoxy, the straps are bonded to the interior face of the basement wall. This system installs quickly inside, requires no outside excavation and won't impact future basement finishing. Now this homeowner can feel secure knowing their basement walls will not bow any more!

This homeowner has only been in her home for a few years and noticed some stair-step cracks beginning in her basement. She has not seen any sign of water entering her home but wants to be proactive by installing a waterproofing system. We worked with her to address the bowing wall concerns first. Our Foreman, Matt Burger, and his crew came in and completed the installation of six Power Brace wall supports to ensure this wall would be at risk of failing. The homeowner was very pleased!
