This homeowner in Bluemont reached out to Fortress Foundation Solutions because they had been dealing with water intrusion in the crawl space of their home, and that had caused the floors of the home to sag. They wanted these issues resolved.
To resolve these issues, Fortress went out and installed a complete CleanSpace encapsulation, along with a SmartSump Crawl Space Sump Pump System, and a SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier. Together these products will keep the crawl space clean and dry, and prevent future moisture related issues. The SmartJack System was installed to permanently support and stabilize those sagging floors.
Tom K. had taken a look in his crawl space to see about some plumbing repairs and was shocked by the stinky, musty smell coming from it. He called Fortress Foundation Solutions for a free estimate. A System Designer met with Tom, inspected his crawl space and provided a free estimate for an encapsulation. Soon a Fortress crew was onsite installing drainage matting, CleanSpace vapor barrier, and a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier. The CleanSpace is in place to seal the home from the damp earth. Moisture and its damaging effects on the wood structure of the home are kept out. The final step is the SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier. It removes moisture from the air keeping the crawl space dry. When Tom looks into his crawl space now, it is clean, dry and he knows his home is protected!
A homeowner near Shenandoah Junction, WV, had noticed his front porch settling over the last 10 years. Seeing a commercial on TV for concrete lifting and leveling, he decided to call Fortress Foundation Solutions for a free estimate. System Designer Eddie Salido performed a full inspection and offered a proposal. He recommended our PolyLevel Foam Injection System. This process effectively lifts and levels concrete by injecting foam into small holes drilled into the concrete. The holes are then filled in and are unnoticeable. This before photo clearly shows the height difference between the two areas. In the after photo the two pieces of concrete are now even. This homeowner can enjoy their front porch once again!
This crawlspace had major moisture issues. The homeowner approached Fortress Foundation Solutions because they were interested in keeping their crawlspace dry. The homeowners stated that he could not see any mold at the current time, but he did not want to risk the fact that mold could potentially grow in his crawlspace. Not only was his crawlspace damp, but it was also extremely dirty. The sump pump in the crawlspace was not very efficient and the crawlspace definitely needed a dehumidifier. Fortress began their work by removing all of the crawlspace’s debris. Next, we installed CleanSpace drain matting. Not only did Fortress cover the walls of the crawlspace, but we even wrapped the crawlspace’s columns. Fortress then replaced the crawlspace’s sump pump with a Smart Sump System (better quality pump) and installed a Sanidry XP (dehumidifier) to remove the unwanted water from the crawlspace air. This water exited the crawlspace by pump discharge units and LawnScape (which directs the water away from the house). Along with these other installations, Fortress also sealed of the crawlspace’s vents. Closing the vents of your crawlspace is one of the best improvements you can make to create a cleaner and more energy efficient space. The last thing that Fortress installed was an Everlast crawlspace door. This crawlspace is now moisture free and completely inhabitable to mold.
Contractor Dan F. noticed moisture in the crawlspace of the house he was working on. He knew just who to call to fix the moldy, musty crawlspace. A Fortress Foundation Solutions System Designer met with Dan, inspected the crawl space and provided a free estimate for an encapsulation. Soon a Fortress crew was onsite installing drainage matting, SilverGlo insulation and CleanSpace vapor barrier. The CleanSpace keeps out moisture and the SilverGlo insulates to keep the home warm in winter and cool in the summer. Now, when this homeowner looks into his crawl space, it is clean, dry and he knows his home is protected!
