Before
The homeowner in Marinette, WI had a crawlspace with exposed soil, elevated moisture levels, and unsealed rim joists that allowed damp air and cold temperatures to affect the home above. Persistent humidity contributed to musty odors, energy loss, and concern about long-term wood and insulation performance.
Inspection confirmed poor vapor control, insufficient insulation, and air leakage at the rim joist area—common issues in northeastern Wisconsin due to seasonal moisture and temperature swings.
After
Sure-Dry completed a crawlspace encapsulation using CleanSpace® vapor barrier to fully seal the crawlspace floor and walls, blocking ground moisture and outside air infiltration. SilverGlo® insulation was installed along the crawlspace walls to improve thermal performance, while RimTight® joist insulation sealed the rim joists to reduce air leakage and heat loss.
The crawlspace is now dry, sealed, and insulated, improving comfort, energy efficiency, and overall indoor air quality throughout the home.
Before
The homeowner in Marinette, WI had a crawlspace with a concrete floor and exposed brick foundation walls that were experiencing active water intrusion during heavy rain and seasonal snowmelt. Water was entering along the wall-to-floor joint and through the masonry, leading to standing water, elevated humidity, and concern about long-term moisture damage.
Inspection confirmed hydrostatic pressure at the footing, moisture migration through the brick walls, and inadequate pumping capacity to manage groundwater effectively.
After
Sure-Dry installed a complete crawlspace waterproofing and moisture control system, including the WaterGuard® interior drainage system to capture groundwater at the footing and direct it to a new SuperSump® primary sump pump paired with an UltraSump® battery backup for protection during power outages. To control humidity and moisture long-term, a Sedona® dehumidifier was installed to maintain dry, consistent conditions throughout the crawlspace.
The crawlspace is now dry, controlled, and protected from both water intrusion and excess humidity.
Tammy S. of Forestville, WI was experiencing water pooling in her basement and noticed that the water was coming in between the footing and foundation walls. Along with water coming in, she was concerned about some small cracks she was noticing in the basement walls as well. Tammy was planning to remodel her basement, but needed a professional to take care of these issues first.
To take care of the water coming in, we installed our patented WaterGuard system. WaterGuard takes the traditional interior drainage system to the next level by using a wall flange that allows seepage to enter the drain and collects water off the walls to easily funnel it away from the foundation. WaterGuard also prevents debris from entering the drainage area and provide a clean finished appearance on your floor.
To address the cracks in the basement walls, we installed our CleanSpace Wall Vapor Barrier System. Our CleanSpace® Wall System holds back water vapor passing through your foundation walls, directing it to your sump pump. With anti-microbial protection called UltraFresh built right in, no mold or mildew will grow on the CleanSpace!

Before:
A homeowner in Appleton, WI, wanted to transform their dark basement into a bright, livable space that met all safety code requirements. The existing windows were small and outdated, providing minimal natural light and no safe way to exit in an emergency. The homeowner wanted a clean, professional installation that would improve both the look and safety of their basement while maintaining proper drainage around the foundation.
After:
Sure-Dry’s team excavated the area outside the foundation and installed a complete egress window system, featuring a large, code-compliant window, a strong window well, and a clear cover to prevent water and debris buildup. The crew added drainage stone at the base of the well to ensure proper water management and long-term durability. The finished installation flooded the basement with natural light, improved airflow, and provided a safe, accessible emergency exit.
The homeowner was thrilled with the transformation, noting how much brighter and more comfortable their basement feels now that it’s code-compliant and ready for everyday use.
