Discharge pipes laying around your lawn can look messy and result in a tripping hazard. However, underground discharge pipes aren't any better because they can freeze during winter and can back up water in your sump pump and cause flooding. Immediately our team knew just what to do to put these homeowners at ease. We installed our Iceguard System, this is attached right to the house where the discharge pipes come out. Located at the top of the IceGuard are small slits to release water out if your pipes are frozen, letting the homeowners know their pipes need to be thawed out. 

Our Sure-Dry team installed 8 GeoLocks to the basement walls of a home in Nekoosa, WI.

GeoLocks use the outside, hard, compacted soil to hold the wall in place and keep it from bowing any further. Every so often the GeoLocks can be tightened and over time will pull the wall but to its proper location.

Before:
A homeowner in Nekoosa was getting seepage at the wall–floor (cove) joint after storms and dampness wicking through the lower walls. Some sections of the basement couldn’t be trenched due to finishes and utilities, and the aging pump left them uneasy during power flickers.

After:
We installed WaterGuard® interior perimeter drainage where trenching was feasible to intercept groundwater at the cove joint, and used DryTrak® low-profile baseboard drainage along finished/utility walls where we couldn’t cut the slab. Both drains were tied into a new UltraSump® system with a sealed lid, alarm, and battery backup for dependable pumping through outages.

After receiving a call from homeowners in Vesper, WI about constant water in their basement. The crew was ready to do some waterproofing. 

First, the Sure-Dry team installed the WaterGuard System around their entire basement. The WaterGuard will remove all water that seeps through their concrete walls. It will then collect in the WaterGuard at the bottom of the floor and be carried to the sump pump to be discharged out.

To then remove water in the center of their basement, we installed the TrenchDrain. This will redirect water that has accumulated on their floor and bring it to their sump pump. 

After a big waterproofing job in their basement, these homeowners couldn't be happier knowing their belongings downstairs are safe. 

Before the project, the homeowner in Vesper, WI was dealing with ongoing water intrusion along several basement walls whenever rain or seasonal snowmelt increased groundwater pressure. Water appeared at the cove joint where the slab meets the wall on some runs and tracked down the face of the foundation on others, leaving damp bands, minor floor puddling, and efflorescence. After Sure-Dry completed the work, the basement was protected by a combined WaterGuard® and DryTrak® interior drainage solution, all directed into a new SuperSump® system. WaterGuard was installed along the accessible slab edges at the footing to intercept groundwater before it reached the floor surface, while DryTrak was applied at sections where jackhammering the slab was not practical, allowing wall and cove seepage to be collected along the interior face of the wall. Both drainage systems were tied into a properly sized SuperSump basin with an airtight lid, durable liner, and high-capacity pump designed for reliable sump pump installation in Wisconsin basements, with the discharge routed safely away from the foundation.
