Complete Waterproofing for Brampton, Ontario Basement

Grandparents adore their grandchildren and love spending time with them. But when something comes in the way of that, it can be pretty upsetting. A couple in Brampton, Ontario were excited to have their son, his wife and grandchild move in with them in their basement. They were busy renovating, but discovered water was entering the space through the bedroom. With the big move coming up, they were concerned they wouldn’t have the renovation done in time.

The nervous grandparents contacted Clarke Basement Systems looking for a solution for their problem. System Design Specialist Alex Barnik visited the home hoping to ease their worries and develop a solution. With a plan that would waterproof the basement for good, Foreman Jose Martinez and his crew got started with the goal of finishing in time for the move. His team installed a SuperSump® pump to discharge any water and encapsulated the room with CleanSpace® Vapour Barrier. The team installed a WaterGuard® Drainage System, and for extra protection an IceGuard® Discharge Line. We were able to finish the job in time for the move, and the basement living space is now dry and occupied. A big happy family!

Controlling Humidity in Stayner, ON

Clarke Basement Systems recommended to our customer in Stayner, ON that they have a full encapsulation and add a MositureLoc Dehumidifier with a SmartSump™Crawl Space Sump Pump System. The dehumidifier keeps the crawlspace dry and conditioned while the sump system collects the groundwater and pumps it outside. The crawl space is now clean, dry, and comfortable.

Waterguard®, SuperSump, and FloodRing Installed in Caledon Village, ON

A basement perimeter in Caledon Village was experiencing constant moisture, leaving the homeowners worried about potential mold forming. The tricky yet fun part about perimeter waterproofing is the channels that need to be put underneath without invading too much of the existing basement floor. Project Manager Ben Wallis decided to have the installation team put in WaterGuard®, SuperSump® System, and a FloodRing to make sure the basement is waterproofed permanently. The installation team made this happen within two days, which allowed the homeowners to use the basement without any concerns!

Water Pooling on Basement Floor in Caledon Village, ON

Our client was experiencing alarming amounts of water coming into their storeroom located in the basement. With further inspection by our project manager Ben Wallis, he noticed that the basement perimeter had water seeping onto the floor, leaving pools of water. To prevent potential mold growth, our CleanSpace® and WaterGuard® system was installed by Dustin Biggs. With the water completely sealed away and redirected into the sump pump below, the home is permanently waterproof.

Perimeter Drainage System Installed in Caledon, ON

Large home in Caledon, Ontario, had no waterproofing done to it, and the basement had experienced some leaking throughout the whole space. The homeowners needed waterproofing done so that they could complete the basement and not have to worry about the elements coming into the home and disrupting the integrity of the house. A call was made to Clarke Basement Systems to have their basement waterproofed permanently so they could proceed with the renovations. We sent our System Design Specialist, Ben Wallis, to provide a quote and describe what work will be done. He started with the walls where we will apply a wall membrane called CleanSpace to the home where the water from the outside that will come in will trickle down the wall and to the channel we will install. The track that we will install is a perimeter drainage system that pushes all the water from the walls to the sump pump located in the furnace room. We will also replace the sump pump to better the water circulation from the existing water source. Our installation specialist Dave Jackson installed the components to completely waterproof the basement within two days. Usually, the first day is consisted of the jackhammering part, placing the wall membrane, and putting in the piping. The second day is for the final touches before putting the concrete in. Once the basement's concrete is in, the concrete would have to settle for two days and bam! The basement is waterproofed!
