This project focused on solving several crawl space concerns at once, including water intrusion, cleanliness, insulation, and overall protection.
We started by cleaning the space, removing loose debris and spider webs, vacuuming the floor, and treating concrete surfaces, ducts, and the furnace in areas affected by rodent activity.
To address water issues, a new drainage system was installed to collect and direct water away. A foundation crack was also professionally injected, sealed, and flood-tested to confirm the leak had been stopped.
The crawl space was then fully sealed with a durable moisture barrier and drainage layer to help control ground seepage. New insulation was installed along the foundation walls and rim joist areas, while a sealed crawl space door and sump cover were added to create a tighter, more protected space.
The result is a cleaner, drier, and better-insulated crawl space with improved protection against water, moisture, and outside air.
To create a cleaner, drier, and more energy-efficient crawl space, we’ll begin by removing debris and installing a durable encapsulation system. The liner will securely seal around footings, piers, and foundation walls. If insulation is present, the liner will extend slightly over it for a tight seal. A drainage mat will be added to manage moisture and improve durability. Insulated wall panels will be installed with sealed seams to prevent moisture and odors. Lastly, we’ll spread drain rock for added protection and install wire mesh over openings.
This project focused on permanently stopping water from entering through a foundation crack. Small ports were installed along the crack, and a flexible resin was injected under pressure to fully seal it from the inside. Once sealed, the ports were removed, and the surface was finished neatly with fast-setting cement.
The repair was then flood-tested from the outside to ensure it was completely watertight. The area was cleaned, vacuumed, and any insulation that had been removed was reinstalled as needed.
This repair helps prevent future leaks, protects the foundation, and comes with a 24-month warranty for added peace of mind.
A damp crawl space can lead to musty odors, mould, and even structural issues. That’s why we fully seal and protect the area by securely fastening and air-sealing a durable moisture barrier at footings, piers, and foundation walls. If insulation is present, the barrier extends 6” in front of it for complete coverage.
To further protect your home, we add a drainage layer beneath the barrier, extending slightly up the exterior walls. This prevents ground seepage, improves durability, and creates a cleaner, healthier space & perfect for storage and peace of mind.
