In October 2022, over a year after purchasing their Newport Beach home as a rental property, the homeowners began noticing a worsening musty odor. Suspecting a plumbing issue, they hired a plumber who found no problems with the pipes but confirmed leaks, moisture, and mold in the crawlspace. With no clear solution, the homeowners searched for a company that could provide the right fix at the right price, leading them to Saber Foundation Repair.

Saber’s design specialist thoroughly inspected the crawlspace and identified water intrusion from California’s heavy rains as the primary issue. To address this, Saber installed:

• French Drain: A system to drain excess water and prevent it from pooling in the crawlspace.
• Smart Sump Systems: Two Smart Sumps with a high-efficiency pump to collect and remove water efficiently.

The result was immediate. The musty odor disappeared, and the crawlspace stayed dry, protecting the home from future moisture issues. Thanks to Saber Foundation Repair, the homeowners now have a secure and healthy rental property.

Saber was contracted to make a home in Lomita, California, more energy efficient, by installing CleanSPace in the crawlspace of the home.  With the CleanSpace system the homeowner will see improvements to their heating and cooling bills, not to mention the fact that the area can now be used for storage.  As an added benefit, CleanSpace has an antimicrobial additive manufactured into the material, which prevents mold growth on the liners.  This additive is odorless and safe, and is used in many plastic household and automotive products.  The space was encapsulated by the Saber crew, and 11 new vent covers where installed along with 2 new ever last doors.
