This homeowner has noticed that every time after it rains, water pools up and stays in the crawlspace. They mentioned it has been going on for quite some time now and are finally fed up with it and want to have it fixed and resolved permanently.
Our team went out to scope out the crawlspace to see how we could help and recommended a handful of products that we could use to help solve their problem. Starting with a HydroLink drainage system, which allows water to flow and reach a SmartSump or TripleSafe sump pump system. There is a nylon sock that surrounds the pipe which adds an extra layer of filtration to prevent major clogging.
We also installed CleanSpace with draining matting, SaniDry Sedona, IceGuard, SilverGlo and discharge lines. All of which help in the aid of keeping the crawlspace a clean, dry and healthy area.
The CleanSpace vapor barrier is one of the best weapons in the DryZone arsenal for fighting humidity and harsh odors. It is a 7 layer thick liner that actually prevents mold from growing on it. The differences in these pictures are numerous. Some of the biggest changes are the vents being blocked to stop wet air from coming in, a sump pump to control ground water, and the vapor barrier itself. The old insulation has also been removed. It was wet and ruined by the damp conditions. With the CleanSpace system, many homeowners tell us that the insulation isn't even needed anymore. Their floors stay nice all year and the smells go away since the "mold farms" in the floor boards are out of there.
This homeowner only bought a sump pump at first, and then later wanted to full system installed!
Energy efficiency was a top priority for this homeowner. After learning about the negative effects open vents can have on a crawl space, they knew they needed an encapsulation.
This homeowner in Millsboro was searching for a solution to their crawlspace and Dryzone was happy to install a Cleanspace crawlspace encapsulation to satisfy their needs.
