We transformed this humid, musty crawl space into a clean, dry, and healthy space using our Crawl Space Encapsulation Solutions!
Because this home had an unenclosed, dirt crawl space moisture and humidity were getting into the home. Mold was also growing, creating an odor that was seeping into the house. In order to repair this crawl space the crew had to do mold remediation by using soda blasting. They also cleared out any debris and fallen insulation. After it was cleaned out they were able to encapsulate the crawl space by sealing the vents and using the CleanSpace encapsulation system. Additionally, they put in EZ-Flow drainage and a SuperSump to pump any water out immediately. The final touch was adding a SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier to control relative humidity. Now the crawl space looks better and the home is safer!
In this customer's crawl space, the E-Z Flow Drainage System was installed in order to collect water and drain it to the sump pump system.
In Austell, Georgia, a homeowner approached us at Atlanta Basement Systems with significant concerns about their crawl space. Their crawl space was plagued by mold, wood rot, and overwhelming humidity, affecting both the integrity of their home and the well-being of its occupants. Upon receiving their call, our Customer Care Specialist promptly scheduled an inspection. Following the initial contact, one of our capable System Design Specialists, Thomas, conducted an exhaustive evaluation. The diagnosis confirmed high moisture levels leading to mold growth and wood rot. To address these issues, we confidently recommended a comprehensive solution that included the SuperSump sump pump, the CleanSpace encapsulation system, and the SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier.
Our experienced production team swiftly mobilized to implement these solutions. First, we installed the SuperSump system, designed to handle potential water intrusion efficiently, thus maintaining a dry and safe environment beneath the home. Next, we added the CleanSpace vapor barrier. This 20-mil reinforced liner is UV-resistant and guards against further mold growth by sealing out moisture completely. Finally, the SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier was installed to maintain optimal humidity levels. As the most powerful system of its size, it works effectively to prevent mold reappearance while improving indoor air quality and reducing overall energy costs.
Upon completion of the repairs, the troublesome crawl space was transformed into a dry, stable, and healthy section of the home. The homeowner noticed an improvement in air quality and a reduction in associated health irritations. Most importantly, the structural integrity of their home was preserved. At Atlanta Basement Systems, we’re committed to delivering reliable, lasting solutions for crawl space challenges, underlining our mission to provide a remarkable customer experience.
