We recently helped homeowners in Bath, Maine with this crawl space that had sinking floors above. Moisture in a crawl space can cause great damage over time, leading to mold or wood rot of the supporting beams for the home. Once moisture has weakened the beams, the floors above will sink and sag. We installed SmartJacks with a new supplemental beam to support these floors. SmartJacks are custom fit galvanized steel posts that can even be adjusted to lift the floors back to level.

Bath, ME homeowners contacted TC Hafford Basement Systems for help when they realized their floors were sagging. After exploring the issue in their basement below, they also found rusted lally columns and crumbly walls. To give support to the floors above, as well as the failing walls, we installed StableLock Wall system. StableLock is a poured concrete wall that abuts the failing wall, preventing it from bowing or shifting further. We can install the StableLock wall with minimal disruption, compared to the traditional method of having to lift the home. StableLock is also much more cost effective since we don't have to do any lifting. The homeowners are happy to have flat floors and know that their home is protected for years to come!

We provided a free estimate to homeowners in Augusta, Maine that lived in a house built in the 1850's and had noticed shifting foundation walls. The owners were very concerned about the walls potentially collapsing and wanted to get it repaired ASAP. We installed StableLock Walls in two places where they had failing walls. StableLock Wall is a new concrete wall with patented bracing that keeps the home stable. We install the new StableLock Wall directly next to the failing wall, preventing further shifting or collapse. We can install StableLock without any major excavation or needing to lift the home, so it is a less costly option than traditional methods.

Buyers who were under contract to purchase a Fairfield, Maine home had an inspection completed, which revealed one of the foundation walls was cracked and settling. Debris was visibly crumbling off the wall, and cracks were scattered all across the length of the wall. We poured a StableLock Wall in front of the failing wall to provide proper support to the home. Rather than the disruption and high cost of excavating and lifting the home, we can stop a failing wall by simply pouring a new one adjacent to it.
