Ayers Basement Systems received a call from Rich and Rebecca, who were seeking a solution for the flooding issue in their Elwell, Michigan home. For over two decades, they have been struggling with water intrusion, and with their retirement approaching, they were looking for a permanent fix. They wanted to spend four months of the year at their vacation home and not worry about their house flooding while they were away. After researching multiple companies, they decided to choose Ayers due to our expert team and exceptional reputation. Upon inspection, our crew recommended the installation of Waterguard and our SuperPump Plus to address their concerns.

WaterGuard is a subfloor waterproofing system that collects water that leaks through the walls and keeps dirt away from the foundation. It is installed along the perimeter of the basement and on top of the footing of the foundation. Concrete is poured on top and regular flooring can be placed on top. 

Our SuperPump Plus is an excellent solution for those who want to avoid an open sump pit. It effectively captures groundwater and can be connected to our WaterGuard system for drainage. Its airtight lid ensures debris is kept out and children or pets can't fall in, making it a safer option. The SuperPump Plus also has a built-in alarm to alert you if the water level rises too high. Made from durable cast iron, it provides high-volume pumping capabilities.

Connie's old sump pump recently failed, and she found water leaking onto her basement floor. She didn't want the problem to worsen, or her belongings ruined, so she researched her options and called Ayers for help. Our crew of specialists visited her home to assess the issue and recommended the installation of the TripleSafe sump pump. TripleSafe is designed to proactively prevent pump failure by including two backup pumps, one of which is battery-powered in case of outages. Connie feels much more comfortable with her new system!

After the owner of this house passed away, her son in law decided it was time to say goodbye to the home as well. The only problem was the basement flood problems, twice in the past few years, the owner had gone downstairs to discover water pooling up to almost 4 inches. With a perimeter drainage system being installed to collect any water in the basement, it became necessary to provide a way for discharge as well. Based on the recommendation of our system design specialist, the homeowner elected to go with the SuperSump seen in in the after photo. Once the ground was excavated, both the sump pump and a WaterGuard Drainage system were installed. Water that floods into the basement will be directed to the SuperSump by WaterGuard and then pumped out. The SuperSump is extremely effective and capable of pumping out over 2,000 gallons of water per hour, making flooding a thing of the past for this home.
