This 70-year-old home in Portage had sagging floors that felt springy and uneven, thanks to years of DIY support using wood planks and cinderblocks in the dirt crawl space. The customer knew they needed a more permanent solution to avoid further structural issues.

Ayers installed SmartJacks with a supplemental beam to reinforce the floorboards from below. We excavated the soil and backfilled with engineered fill to create a solid foundation for the SmartJacks. Now, with the floors stable and even, the homeowner can finally enjoy their living space without worrying about shifting supports.

Jennifer called us becuase she noticed cracking outside her house. Upon insepction, it was determined that the corner of the home was settling. We installed Helical Piers to support the cracking foundation. Helical Piers are great becuase they stabilize the foundation but can also lift settled foundations back up to the original position.

Mike and Julie had a basement wall that was cracked and starting to bow so they called us for a solution. We used the CarbonArmor Wall Reinforcing System to stabilize the wall. The system is made up of flexible carbon fabric straps that are 10 times stronger in tension than steel. The straps are are then bonded to the wall using a high strength resin. This system requires no exterior excavation, installs quickly, and won't impact future basement finishing.
