Homeowners in Casey, IL had water leaking into their basement through the walls.  Our team at Woods Basement Systems installed CleanSpace and UltraSump around their existing sump pump.  CleanSpace provides a vapor barrier for the walls of the basement, drains wall leaks, and stops the water vapor from permeating the walls.  The barrier also adds a clean and bright atmosphere to the crawl space.  The UltraSump provides the added protection to the sump pump in case of a power outage.  The homeowners were happy with their sealed basement and added protection for years to come!

A sump pump was failing to operate in a Saint Joseph, IL basement, causing concern. To solve this issue, the TripleSafe Sump Pump System was installed. This system assures protection from everyday problems with an ordinary pump. It can handle a heavy flow of water, thanks to a secondary pump included inside that will help eliminate the water if the first pump is unable to keep up with the amount of water that is entering it. It also features a removable airtight lid which reduces noise, prevents objects from falling in, and keeps moisture, insects, and odor from coming out of the sump. This system also includes an UltraSump battery backup system which turns on if the power goes out and effectively pumps out the water. This basement will now stay dry for years to come!

A crawlspace in Saint Joseph, IL, was unstable and needed to be addressed, as the floors in the home were sagging as a result. To solve this issue, SmartJack™ stabilizers were used to stabilize the crawlspace. These stabilizers can be tightened over time as needed. With this system in place, the homeowner can rest easy knowing their crawlspace is in great shape!

Woods replaced the old sump pump and pit with a TripleSafe sump pump system. The TripleSafe is a closed sump liner that contains two powerful, cast-iron pumps and a battery back up pump. The TripleSafe ensures that, even in severe weather or a power outage, water will be pumped out and away from the basement and the basement will stay dry.

As part of the waterproofing system, WaterGuard was installed under the concrete floors, as shown in the picture. WaterGuard is a drainage system that sits on the concrete footing of the basement so it won't become clogged by mud as it collects water from the foundation floors and walls and drains it away to the sump pump.

Also seen in the picture is a TrenchDrain. TrenchDrains are grated drainage pipes that sit flush with the floor and tie in to the WaterGuard system. They collect surface water that may get in through doors or stairs.
