In the middle of their basement living room, these homeowners noticed a concerning sag, which was a direct result of a missing load-bearing wall support. Investigation revealed that the previous homeowners had removed a load-bearing wall in the basement, leading to compromised structural integrity.  Our team assessed the situation and recommended the installation of SmartJacks and a supplemental beam to fully stabilize the middle of the room.

This homeowner was worried about possible foundation issues but wasn't sure what exactly was going on. This homeowner just purchased his home and has big plans to fix it up. Before moving forward with his projects he wanted to address his chimney that is leaning away from the house. It's fairly common for fireplaces to settle and can be caused by several things. The back-fill soil could be sinking and no longer supporting the structure or the gutters and downspouts may not be moving water far enough from the foundation.
