The WaterGuard channels were installed along the entire perimeter to capture water entering the basement. These channels all flow toward the low point, which is the sump pump basin. Both the sump pump system and perimeter drains will have new concrete installed over and around them to complete the system.
Water had been entering the basement and threatening to leak into the finished area of the basement.
Here, water can be seen on the basement floor. This completely ruined the flooring and walls, which had to get demoed as a result.
This home in Pelham had seen damage to its stone façade and called EFS for a free inspection and our specialist found that the home was settling.
This is what the basement looked like before being waterproofed. Water can be seen leaking through cracks and starting to puddle on the foundation.
The WaterGuard perimeter drainage system collects water without being exposed to the basement wall or floor. After the system is installed, it is cemented in place.
